Vibrant World, 2022-23

This is a group of paintings I worked on in two batches: Spring 2022 and Winter 2023. The overall tones of the two groups can be distinguished by the seasons I painted them in, as the color palette reflects the atmosphere and colors of the Spring and Winter seasons here in WNY. The work is a matter of my processing through life events and day-to-day commutes and travels. I layer paint and play with color in an attempt to make sense of my experiences as a human, connecting deeply to nature and the seasons, navigating hardships and friendships and joy.
